As a two-year-old doe she was Best in Show at the Hoosier Classic under Greg Murphy. The goat world noticed her even more as a three year old when she was second at nationals in California. She was a wonderful show doe, but she was an even better brood doe. She was bred to many different bucks and all of her offspring that lived turned out to be fantastic in our herd and in other herds across the country. |

It was not until she was five that she was noticed. Mary Fife had always talked about the Hoosier Classic being the show to beat all shows, so I decided to take the girls and see what the talk was about. Barbie went Grand Champion and Best of Breed under Shelia Nixon (she finished that day) and then to my amazement went Best in Show. There were 5 National Champions in the line up and they were beautiful, but Shelia thought Barbie was the best. It was a day I'll never forget. Show Wins: 9 x Best in Show 6 x Best Udder in Show

Philodendron was in a herd of 700 Saanens and it was easy to pick her out. I still think of her mammary as one of the most ideal I have ever seen. I am very grateful to Ray Veira for allowing me to have her last son before she died. |

She had a tranquil spirit and disposition and was so elegant to look at. She often had to play brides maid to Barbie's more beautiful mammary system, but Aeneid was my first doe that looked like the big powerful, capacious Saanen of my minds eye. Barbie was pretty and I liked her very much , but in my minds eye she looked like a white Alpine. Aeneid without a doubt looked like a Saanen! Show Wins: 21 x Best in Show 2 x Best Udder in Show

She was such a heavy producer and my management skills at the time needed more tweaking. I am certain if I had that doe today, she would have produced even more and would have been in the arena competing. She is behind a lot of our does that we have today. |

She was absolutely my least favorite doe of all time in temperament. She had no milk room etiquette what so ever, and we suffered for seven years with each other. She finally went to live with the Syberts of Mass. She never caused them a days worth of troube and they thought her to be an angel. When she left she never caused me any more problems either.
